blue

Today we were driving in the car listening to music. the song was a normal break-up song. depressing. As the singer expressed how she was feeling "so, so blue, to much blue without you," or some crap like that, Emma said, "She's singing about avatar! She got too blue!"
Another incident with music and Emma. We were listening to the Pirates of the Caribbean sountrack, which as you may or may not know, is very expressive music. Emma could hear the story in the music.
"Anna, is this where the monsters come?" I think of undead pirates, and a ship with black sails,
"yes, that's where the monsters come," I say.
"Anna, is this where the girl and boy fall in love?"
"Yes, that's right,"
"Is this where the hero saves the day?" I crack a smile, thinking of Jack Sparrow sailing into to port on a sinking ship. It's more like where the bumbling idiot comes rushing in to turn everyone's life upside down I think. But I smile and say,
"Something like that," I say. I'm sure whatever she imagines is better then anything Hollywood can put on the screen.
