Dear Father in heaven, please help us so that Anna won't crash into a rock and kill us And so begins my driving lesson. Encouraged by Emma's prayerful supplication, I started the lesson a high note (literally). As my foot eased off the clutch and I lightly touched the gas, I promptly over tilted sideways as we ran over the curb. Still, I managed to turn and begin driving over the Harford community college parking lot *A without jack-rabbiting to a stop.
In my two driving lessons, I have managed to get one thing down-pat: Starting the car. One foot on clutch, one on the brake, an turn the key. The thing that stops me every time is giving it enough gas. I come off the clutch nice and slow, but the engine quickly sputters and dies with no gas. Still, I did manage to stop at stop signs today (the trouble was getting going again), and I did get all the way up to third gear.
I hate braking on hills. I used my hand break ALOT. How am I supposed to remember to turn signal when I can't even brake?!
I seriously love your family:)
