1. Loyalty. A true and loyal friend is pretty rare. But when you find them, they are worth their weight in gold. My example here is Samwise Gamgee, who went with Frodo to the very gates of Mordor. "I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you,"
2. Wisdom. This is usually a learned quality for heroes. Maybe it's more of a mentor thing. My example for this is Ben Parker, Peter Parker's (Spiderman, for none nerds) uncle, who inspired him with the words "With great power comes great responsibility," a phrase that I've found to be true over and over again.
3. Love. Who better for this then Harry Potter? He is one of the most noble, selfless characters of all times. He's always thought of others before himself, and that was the reoccurring message through out all seven novels.
4. Humor. Adventures get rough, and people get a little blue. It takes humor to get you through everything. Sarcasm, bad puns, you name it. Laugh a little and the road won't seem so bad.
5. Perseverance. Never give up. Never give up. Never give up. ANd so I choose my all time favorite, Edmond Dantes. He tunneled his way out of prison.
You have all my favorites here. Especially The Count of Monte Cristo. I'm going to marry Jim in my next life. =P
