The Plan

So, i have a plan. Because I often struggle to post something for my blogs that I find mildly interesting, I'm planning on posting my Creative Writing assignments as blogs. So here's my drill from today. The prompt was something like this;
"You were set up on a blind date by a friend. When you open the door your shocked to find that your blind date is a character from a fiction" So I choose Alexander Sterling from Vampire Kisses 'cause that whats popped into my head first. Here's my date.
I opened the door and stared. Oh Sarah what have you done? I thought as Alexander Sterling stood awkwardly in my doorway, holding a bouquet of black roses. We stood there for what felt like forever, completely silent, both trying to find our voices. Finally I worked up the courage to ask.
"Uhm... Hi. Are you my date?"
"Yeah, I am if your Anna," he said.
"Oh, uh, that's me" Thank you captain obvious! gosh! try to say something intelligent! I thought at myself.
"I brought these for you," he said holding out the roses. I couldn't help but smile a little as I took them and got water for them. A closer glance revealed that the roses weren't black, but a very deep blue-violet, and smelled magical.
We went to my favorite Italian restaurant, and had a great spaghetti dinner, although we couldn't get in any garlic bread, because Alexander was so allergic. Throughout dinner we talked about his artwork, and he mentioned maybe giving me lessons.
After dinner we went to see a movie. We went to some horror movie, and I spent the whole time holding Alexander's hand in a death grip. Once the movie was over, I didn't let go of his hand. When I got home I called Sarah to thank her, and then laid down on my bed and fell asleep holding a single black rose.
